Tina efficiently manages incoming referrals, acting as a liaison between patients, primary care physicians, and physical therapy facilities. Her expertise in insurance verification allows her to navigate complex healthcare systems with ease.
Passionate about patient advocacy, Tina is dedicated to creating a supportive environment that prioritizes each patient's unique needs. Her friendly demeanor and empathetic approach help ease patients' concerns throughout the referral process.

Paulina: Medical Assistant/Front Office
Paulina is a dedicated Medical Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery, with over four years of experience providing exceptional patient care in fast-paced clinical settings. She plays a vital role in both preoperative and postoperative care, demonstrating a compassionate approach and strong communication skills that help build trust and rapport with patients of all ages. Known for her keen attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure, Paulina is an indispensable member of the orthopedic team.
Outside of work, Paulina enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active through cycle classes, reflecting her passion for health and well-being.
Chelsea Brekke, PA-C
Chelsea Brekke, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine, with a clinical focus on the evaluation and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She is dedicated to helping patients recover from injury, restore function, and safely return to sport, work, and daily activities through individualized, evidence-based care.
Chelsea practices in both clinic and surgical settings, where she assists in joint replacement and sports medicine procedures and provides comprehensive care from initial evaluation through postoperative recovery.
Her clinical interests include sports-related injuries, biologic and regenerative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and nonoperative strategies aimed at optimizing performance while minimizing downtime. As a former collegiate volleyball player, Chelsea brings an athlete’s perspective to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-play decision-making.
In addition to her clinical work, Chelsea serves as adjunct faculty with the University of the Pacific Physician Assistant program, where she enjoys mentoring future clinicians and contributing to the development of practical, patient-centered medical education.
Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and completed her Physician Assistant training at the University of the Pacific. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), the California Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA), and the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS).
Chelsea believes exceptional orthopedic care begins with listening, establishing trust, and developing individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based medicine. She emphasizes patient education, shared decision-making, and realistic goal setting to help patients take an active role in their recovery and long-term musculoskeletal health.
Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two children.
